Flooring Questions, Answered
Real answers from Orlando's family-owned flooring experts
How much does flooring installation cost in Orlando?+
Flooring installation in Orlando typically costs $3–$15 per square foot installed, depending on material. LVP runs $4–$8/sqft, engineered hardwood $7–$12/sqft, tile $8–$15/sqft, and carpet $3–$6/sqft. Hello Floors offers free in-home estimates so you get an exact price for your space.
How long does flooring installation take?+
Most residential flooring installations are completed in 1–3 days. LVP and laminate are fastest (often 1 day for an average home), tile takes the longest due to drying time for thinset and grout (2–4 days). Hardwood refinishing takes 3–5 days including cure time.
What's the best flooring for Florida humidity?+
Florida's high humidity makes LVP (luxury vinyl plank), tile, and engineered hardwood the best choices. Solid hardwood can warp in humid conditions and isn't recommended for ground floors or homes without strong climate control. LVP is waterproof and ideal for Orlando's climate.
Do you offer a warranty on installation?+
Yes. Hello Floors offers a lifetime warranty on materials and a workmanship warranty on all installations. Manufacturer warranties on the flooring itself vary by product line.
Can you install flooring over my existing floor?+
Sometimes. LVP and laminate can often float over existing hard surfaces. Tile, hardwood, and carpet typically require removing the existing flooring first. We'll evaluate during your free estimate.
Do I need to move my furniture?+
We can move standard furniture as part of our installation service. Specialty items (pianos, antiques, large appliances) may require separate arrangements — we'll discuss this during your estimate.

We serve the greater Orlando metro area including Winter Park, Kissimmee, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Sanford, Apopka, Oviedo, and surrounding communities. Call (321) 331-6961 to confirm we cover your area.
